Alan Jackson

Alan Eugene Jackson werd geboren op 17 oktober 1958 in Newnan, Georgia en zijn muziek is ruwweg te omschrijven als een mix van honky tonk en standaard country. Nadat hij van de middelbare school afkwam vormde hij een eigen band. Om meer kans op een carrière in de muziek te maken verhuisde Alan met zijn vrouw naar Nashville waar hij een baantje vond in de postkamer van The Nashville Network, een country tv station.

In 1987 bracht Alan zijn eerste album genaamd New Traditions uit bij het onafhankelijke label Americana Records:
