Levi Hummon – “Stupid”
The son of Grammy-Award winning songwriter Marcus Hummon, Levi first began exploring songwriting as a way to navigate his life and relationships and it didn’t take long for him to pursue his new passion professionally. He has worked with many of Nashville’s most accomplished songwriters and producers, and helped co-write legendary rocker Steven Tyler’s last single, “Red, White, and You.” Named one of Entertainment Weekly’s 5 Artists Breaking Now, Levi has spent the past year creating his own independent music including the new single “Stupid” which was featured as an exclusive Amazon Weekly One track and has accumulated over 8 million streams on Spotify thus far. The video premiered on CMT last month and is now available to you!
Levi’s latest endeavor is perhaps his most meaningful and heart-felt to date: a collaboration with his father Marcus Hummon, Grammy-Award winning songwriter, Tom Douglas, and family friend and bluegrass-country icon Alison Kraus. The new song, “Love Heals” pays homage to his mother Becca Steven’s local charity, Thistle Farms which benefits women survivors of human trafficking, prostitution, and addiction by providing safe and supportive housing, the opportunity for economic independence, and a strong community of advocates and partners. The new video offers a touching message of hope and redemption to listeners.
