Kalsey Kulyk – “More Time”
Kalsey Kulyk has been playing music her entire life. Starting out as a child performing in talent shows and competitions, she began touring across her native Canada at 13. She would later become acquainted with producer Richard Dashut (Fleetwood Mac) who invited her to come to Las Vegas and record. “We’d write songs, talk about performances,” Kalsey remarked on the experience, “We even pulled a band together and did some shows on the Vegas strip. He literally trained my ears.” After working with Dashut in both Vegas and Nashville, TN Kulyk was invited to participate in both the Canadian Country Music Association’s Discovery Artist program, as well as ole’s “On the Spot” competition where she would end up winning both. Winning the ole competition would land Kulyk both publishing and record deals and she was soon back in Nashville working with some of Country music’s best songwriters such as Liz Rose (Taylor Swift’s “You Belong With Me,” Carrie Underwood’s “Cry Pretty”) and Phil Barton (Lee Brice’s “Woman Like You,” Eli Young Band’s “Skin and Bones”). Her new single and video “More Time” is an incredibly personal song for her and is about something we can all relate to – the wish of just being able to spend one more day with someone you’ve lost.
